Return Statement

​

It’s been almost two years since I last stepped on the court. This past weekend, I returned to competitive badminton at the yearly largest adult tournament within the US. Objectively, it's an uninspiring result, but personally, it means everything to me. Thank you to EBA and coach Kate in particular for bringing me back to the sport I love. Thank you Daniel for being a partner and friend. Together, we've fought for the very top, and now, you picked me up when I was nobody. In a competitive sport where individuals are valued for their abilities, I've experienced incredible hospitality from this community as I've returned as a novice. This weekend, I was once again reminded of why I love badminton. These are new beginnings. I'm back!
