When COVID-19 first spread to the US, I was concerned very much for my grandparents living in a senior apartment. They and many of their friends weren’t able to obtain basic safety supplies. Inspired by my dancing teacher Mrs. Stefani’s work in making masks, I started making face shields for family, friends and hospitals. When my grandparents first wore the face shields I made, they were very happy, and soon joined me in the efforts. Later on, my classmates at College Preparatory School, friend from the neighbors and cousins joined me in this endeavor and we together built this WeCare COVID-19 support community.  

       Now, at WeCare, we want to bring together as many as community members national-wide to contribute towards the efforts against COVID-19. We make masks, face shields, and donations for hospitals, seniors centers, and nursing homes. While the number of new cases are declining in the US, the resulting decreased attention to COVID-19 leaves a prime opportunity for a second wave of the pandemic. Cases in California and many States are currently increasing at a higher rate than they were during the national peak. Now is the time for mass mobilization to protect our community and end this pandemic. Welcome to:
